◆Lectures and Experience-Based Activities by Para Athletes

Our para athletes, competing in goalball, wheelchair racing, and more, provide lectures and experience-based classes on topics like welfare education, comprehensive learning, and Olympic and Paralympic education.
The lessons are designed to promote emotional growth by enhancing understanding of disabilities, which, in turn, promotes welfare and moral education.

Learning the Power to Challenge and Achieve!
Understanding an Inclusive Society Through Para Athlete Experiences

Discoveries from Experience-Based Classes
  • Experiencing diversity and understanding disabilities
  • The importance of challenging yourself despite disabilities
  • Empathy gained through experiencing a lack of sight
  • The significance of language and communication

Post-Experience Feedback

  • ■Tokyo,
Elementary School Teacher (Goalball Experience Session)

After the lesson, the children researched the Paralympic events that interested them and gave experience-based presentations.
They were able to apply what they learned in class, communicate with each other, and create something great.

  • ■Kanagawa,
3rd Grade Elementary School Student (Wheelchair Racer Athlete Experience Session)

It was my first time riding a racing wheelchair. It was really hard to move, but I had a lot of fun. I thought it was amazing that athletes could do 100 push-ups. I’ll work hard to be able to do a lot of push-ups, too.
